In Extremo

Creativity of the band In Extremo to listen to which enough people come to the concert, so it is safe to say that the band is popular with its listeners and is known today as a band that differs in that it performs its compositions in the folk metal genre. Officially, the band in extremo whose songs have a certain character of this territorial affiliation, was formed in Germany, in Berlin in 1995. The participants of the project are seven talented musicians.
This team is considered one of the most popular in the world. The group has a crowd of fans of different ages, the guys are constantly touring and developing their creative careers. Folk metal genre clearly attracts Germans, which confirms the more than a million sold music collections.
If we touch on the beginning of the development of the project's career growth, it typically began with the processing of ancient and medieval ballads and compositions in different dead and living languages ​​of Europe.
Today, the band devotes itself as much as possible to writing the lyrics of the tracks on their own. The band In Extremo plans to release albums with songs in German.
Historical features of team development
The In Extremo group was originally created from two projects that were completely independent of each other. It was a band with medieval motifs and a rock band.
The folk project was known due to the fact that the participants often performed at various fairs, where they could hear folk and classical singles.
When the band was preparing for the Middle Ages in 1995, Robert Michael decided to come up with a name for the band. The result of his ideas was the Latin phrase "In Extremo", which meant "In conclusion", "On the edge". The fame of the project was also due to the fact that the musicians used pyrotechnics at the performances.
Concert activity
The band's stage concerts are truly extraordinary and bright. Initially, the participants performed in medieval costumes, pulled on vests, leather skirts, and some armor. There were also fire shows, various theatrical elements, acrobatic tricks. All these actions were accompanied by authentic motifs and medieval instruments, which embodied the medieval show and images of wandering musicians to the fullest.
After some time, the team gradually began to move away from its original roots. Since 2008, the children have written many more compositions in German on their own, the old texts have not actually been used, compared to the initial stage of the group's development.
The band's costumes are not so medieval, but they are still bright today.
Acrobatic tricks are almost non-existent in the planned show program. And the participants no longer spit flames, although the fire show itself has acquired a completely different scale. Pyrotechnics began to be used with special enthusiasm. All the guys have licenses, they do it professionally.
The basis is still a symbiosis of modern rock motifs and melodies of the Middle Ages.
